The Postformatter

Paste the finished LinkedIn post. Pick your emoji palette once, we remember it. Click Run Postformatter. Get back the post with Math Sans Bold on the hook, braille paragraph breaks that survive the LinkedIn paste, and emoji placement chosen from your palette. Every word you wrote, preserved exactly.

What's Running Inside the Toolkit

The Postformatter Protocol runs server-side every time. It never leaves our infrastructure. You paste a finished post. It formats.

What it does, in order:

  • Preserves every word. No rewrites, no edits, no shortening, no reordering. Your names, numbers, URLs, hashtags, and signoff come back exactly as you wrote them.
  • Bolds the hook. Line one gets Math Sans Bold Unicode (not markdown, LinkedIn strips markdown). One aha phrase in the body gets the same treatment if it earns it. Capped at 10% of total characters.
  • Inserts braille paragraph breaks. The U+2800 character on its own line between paragraphs is the only way LinkedIn preserves vertical space. We do it automatically.
  • Places your emojis. The protocol picks the body pattern that fits the content (list, contrast, dilemma, story) and places emojis from your palette at the start of the lines that need them. Never mid-sentence, never adjacent.
  • Scrubs em-dashes. Both em-dashes and en-dashes get replaced with commas. LinkedIn and its classifier both read dashes as AI tells.
  • Enforces the 3,000 character cap. If the bolded version blows past 3,000 UTF-16 code units, body bold gets stripped first, then hook bold if needed. You always get a postable result.

Write the post. Humanize it. Format it. That is the chain.

Your Emoji Palette

Set it once. We remember it in your browser. Type or paste emojis separated by spaces. Leave any category empty if you do not want emojis for that function.

Bullets

Start of list items. Example: ▸ or a check, or a custom glyph.

Yes / No

Two emojis for contrast lines. First = yes / do. Second = no / do not.

Directional

Hook-zone or CTA arrow. Used before "drop a comment" lines, or on line 2 to pull readers past the fold.

Dilemma (A / B / AB)

Three emojis in order: option A, option B, synthesis. Only used when the post has a real "two paths, one synthesis" structure.

Emphasis

Punch emojis used sparingly near the hook or on the aha line. Keep it tight. Up to 3.

How It Works

  1. Set your emoji palette once. It saves to your browser so you never set it again.
  2. Paste the finished post. Click Run Postformatter.
  3. The worker formats the post: Math Sans Bold hook, braille paragraph breaks, emoji placement from your palette, no em-dashes. Every word you wrote, preserved.
  4. If the bolded version would exceed 3,000 characters, body bold gets stripped first, then hook bold if needed. You always get a postable result.
  5. Copy and paste straight into LinkedIn. Done.
